Yomi Ajilore

The beBrave network exists to shape and nurture the leaders of tomorrow. Through community, engagement and education, their goal is to create a multitude of pathways to success – that can last a lifetime.

Yomi has over 10 years’ experience as a tech project manager, helping global organisations deliver innovative projects. His aspiration is to create more opportunities for young people to thrive, driven by the challenges he faced growing up. From struggling to secure his first job, living with a disability to growing up in a neighbourhood with a high crime rate that didn’t invest much in young people, Yomi understands that there can be numerous obstacles to success. And he understands that while entrepreneurship can be a path to that success, a lack of relationships can be a barrier.

By building a community of role models, beBrave is inspiring a new generation of leaders to build businesses and careers that can help them live more connected lives. It offers career inspiration and support at a time when Covid-19 has hampered young people’s opportunities to gain work experience – and when the future looks uncertain.

Yomi wanted to be a Multiplier to help him improve and expand beBrave. He believes that in life you need people around you to help you grow and he wanted to learn from and support others on the programme.

Like The Cares Family, beBrave fosters relationships between those who wouldn’t usually occupy the same spaces, building power in the process. Yomi’s unwavering belief in the power of community was one of the many reasons he was selected for The Multiplier.
