As our economy and society has prioritised what's efficient over what's important, various tools and technologies have replaced the meaning we derive from interaction with others.
That's why we need a 1p levy on self-service transactions, which remove the opportunity for conversation, connection and community. That levy could raise £30m a year to invest in new community projects to reduce loneliness and build community.
